Today I set up math stations where the kids circulated around to take notes about the rules for adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers. Afterwards they were given tiles (cut out from foam) to represent a variety of examples on a piece of laminated paper. They also added their calculations and work on a number line with dry erase marker so that they could take turns trying all of the examples out. It was nice to see them use the manipulatives and play with math!
